Nikolina Bucalo: “We look forward to everyone supporting us to continue our rhythm”

Box Hill United FC is delighted to confirm that Nikolina Bucalo will once again be representing the senior women’s side for the 2024 season.

The upcoming season will be Bucalo’s third for the senior team. However, Bucalo has been involved with the Club for a long time, first joining the youth ranks at Box Hill United in 2017 and after spending brief spells at other clubs, she then returned in 2022.

Bucalo is an extremely talented and equally versatile player. She can be effective in a wide range of positions, capable of lining up across all areas of the pitch.

“I’m expecting to play as a full-back in 2024,” she said.

“However I’m happy to play in the midfield or even on the wing, depending on where I can help the team in required positions.”

After an impressive 2023 campaign, Box Hill United fans are eagerly waiting to how the 24-year-old is developing and what she can bring to the table this season.

A fan favourite, Bucalo is excited to see the Box Hill United fans once again supporting the team for the upcoming season.

“I hope to see everyone come down to support the girls,” she said.

“We’re looking to build off the second half of our previous season.

“We did well, competed and made sure we achieved our goals as a team.

“Hopefully, we can continue our rhythm this season and the fans’ support is vital in doing so.”
