Despite facing the formidable third-ranked opponents, Pythagoras displayed no signs of fear. Instead, they were visibly inspired and enthusiastic, reflecting their readiness to face tough challenges.
In the first half, Box Hill United launched an intense offence. Michael Romas, who has settled back into the line up after injury, delivered an outstanding performance. Despite facing vigorous physical challenges, Romas maintained excellent attacking form and scored the opening goal of the match, marking his first goal since his return. His ability to navigate through the defence and find the net highlighted his skill and resilience, adding a crucial advantage for Box Hill United early in the game.

Ruben Sanchez Marcano continued to showcase his exceptional attacking prowess by adding another goal to his tally. This goal, a result of a brilliant assist from Agustin Casco, further solidified Box Hill United’s position. From defensive midfield, Casco demonstrated exceptional control and precision by securely holding the ball and delivering a perfect pass to Sanchez Marcano. Brunswick Juventus did make a strong comeback, equalising the score with two well-executed goals. Despite Box Hill United’s best efforts to maintain their lead, the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
