Zoë Hudson: “I’m ready to form a connection with the club”
Box Hill United FC is pleased to confirm the signing of 23-year-old defender Zoë Hudson.
Hudson, who most recently played in the Liga BPI (Portuguese First Division) for Valadares Gaia FC, brings a wealth of experience to the club.
“I’m an international, from the United States,” she said.
“I’ve received a good opportunity here at Box Hill and I’m ready to form a connection with the club.”
Hudson has a plethora of experience and boasts an impressive list of achievements, but not limited to four straight Division One Mid-American Conference (MAC) championships.
“I’ve been playing football since I was five years old,” she said.
“I got involved after a teacher recommended a team sport to my parents.
“I’ve learned to work hard and work with others and here I am”
Hudson is a versatile defender, able to play wider as a full-back but most naturally as a centre-half.
“Someone I look up to and model my game after is Virgil Van Dijk,” she shared.
“He’s just a solid defender that seems to get all the basic things right.
“I try to emulate that myself.”
Hudson is extremely driven. She expressed her strong ambitions and clear goals looking ahead to an exciting 2024 campaign.
“As we approach the 2024 season, Hudson is raring and eager to get started.
“My biggest goal for this season is to win, of course.
“But also to try to make good connections with my teammates and ultimately to be more involved in the football world within Australia.”
Hudson concluded her statement with a message to the Box Hill United fans:
“Please come down and support us,” she said.
“I’m definitely excited to see what the atmosphere would be like.
“I’d love to meet everybody part of the Box Hill United community.”
