VPL 2 Men Match Preview: Round 1 vs Pascoe Vale FC

It shapes as a crucial early season test, but one Pythagoras is up for.

Pascoe Vale FC are not to be taken lightly, having been relegated from NPL Victoria 2 (now known as Victoria Premier League 1). They will be striving to rebound this season by pushing for promotion with a squad that is mainly in tact.

Adrian Talarico, Pascoe Vale’s longest serving player, has been named as captain. Alongside vice-captain Aydin Mustedanagic, they are a couple of their key re-signings from last season. Joe Piggott is a notable signing from Nantwich Town FC in England. His career started at Everton’s academy before joining Dundee United and representing teams in England’s League One and Two. He is set to form a potent attacking threat with the aforementioned Roberts.
