Ethan Yokarinis: “I always want to be involved in the game”

Box Hill United FC is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ethan Yokarinis for the 2024 Senior Men’s season.

The 20-year-old shot stopper has experience in Spain with FC Málaga City, while he most recently spent the previous season with NPL Victoria side Heidelberg United FC.

Yokarinis is a great example of the modern day keeper, building his game off the likes of Ederson who is renowned for his distribution skills in Manchester City FC’s set up.

More than just making saves, Yokarinis won’t be shy in keeping possession and building up from the back.

“The thing I like about Ederson is he’s cool, calm and composed – that’s what I aim to implement in my game,” Yokarinis said.

“It helps in the game when you are always involved and finding that short or long pass when you need to.”

Yokarinis’ European experience is something that will hold him in good stead as he sets his goals for this campaign.

“We’re looking to get promoted, I’d like to do anything I can to help the team win games,” he said.

“Stay tuned, we are excited to see all the fans.”
