Asuka Doi returns to Box Hill United to build on strong first season

Box Hill United FC is delighted to confirm Asuka Doi has re-signed with the Senior Women’s squad, following a stellar opening season with the Club.

Having joined ahead of the 2023 season, the Japanese striker made an instant impact for Bobby Zdravkovski’s team, making 20 appearances and scoring 10 times to be Box Hill’s leading goal scorer.

Formerly from Bunnys Gunma FC White Star before coming across to Australia, Doi will resume a leading role not only on the pitch, but through her professionalism in training and performance from her previous background in Japan’s leagues.

With a positive attitude and eagerness to improve, we can expect to see another terrific season from Doi as the focal point in attack. She also has plenty of great years ahead, being 26 years of age.

Doi has some words to say to the supporters ahead of the new campaign:

“It’s great to play for Box Hill United and I will do my best for the team,” she said.
