Maryam Anvari adds technical quality to midfield

Box Hill United FC is pleased to announce the signing of Maryam Anvari to the Senior Women’s squad.

Turning 23 in a couple of months, Anvari is joining at a great point in her career to establish herself in the new team.

She has spent the majority of her time at South Melbourne FC, notching appearances previously in the NPL Women and U19 competitions for them.

In 2023, she represented Bayside United (now Bentleigh Greens), where she played a key role in pulling the midfield strings, while she isn’t afraid to get forward and into the box to get on the end of chances.

Upon joining in pre-season, Anvari is excited at the prospect of being at Box Hill.

“I’m looking forward to see you all at Wembley Park,” she said.

“This is a great squad and a Club I have had respect for over a long time.”
