One more time: NSL greats Kyle Patterson and Greg Blake reunited

Box Hill United FC is pleased to confirm the debut of Pythagoras TV – bringing together Kyle Patterson and Greg Blake in commentary.

Patterson, a household name at Box Hill United, is also known for his work at SBS where he used to host the On The Ball show focusing on the National Soccer League (NSL).

Blake is a journalist, media personality and commentator who notably was involved in reporting on the NSL, with his know-how leading to an opportunity with Channel 9 in the mid-90s to commentate for them.

In a long-awaited reunion, the Box Hill United Men Round 1 match on Friday night will be broadcast live with a legendary duo to call all the action.

Patterson is excited to have Pythagoras TV as an outlet for Box Hill United’s rich history which dates back to 1922.

“I’m looking forward to it, I have known Greg for a long time and he’s a great friend of mine,” he said.

“It has been a while since we’ve worked together so this is really special.

“Part of my interest in doing this is due to my father, brother and myself playing for the Club and celebrating all of its history.

“The Club is going really well at the moment – the debut of Pythagoras TV puts Box Hill at the forefront in the media space.”

Greg Blake was equally enthused about the prospect of giving the Box Hill United members and fans a new perspective of the game.

“It is a privilege to be able to do commentary with Kyle,” he said.

“We will share some memories, laughs and certainly expecting a great match with Pascoe Vale.”
