Physiotherapist & Sports Trainers positions now open for season 2024

Box Hill United is seeking Physiotherapist & Sports Trainers for season 2024.

Sports Trainers – Senior Men’s and Women’s Squads

The successful applicants will be involved with the senior women’s/reserve team and senior men’s/reserve team.
The trainers will assist the senior physiotherapist with the senior women’s or men’s teams respectively. The training will be at the Box Hill United grounds during the season.
About the role:
The role will involve both training sessions and game day.
The successful applicant will be trained by a qualified Physiotherapist and will assume the role of sports trainer/first aid for reserve teams on game day.
During the season, the games are scheduled either Friday, Saturday or Sunday and will be either at home or away. Coverage is required for both home and away games with flexibility in schedule a key requirement.
The sports trainer’s role will be approximately 5-8 hours per week.
Other requirements will be first aid level 2. It is desirable to have completed level 1 sports trainers’ course, but not essential.
The position is open to third or fourth year physiotherapy students or applicants that have completed level 1 sports trainer course.

Physiotherapist – Senior Men’s and Women’s Squads

There is an opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to join the sports/physiotherapy team. The position involves the Physiotherapy management of the Senior teams on game day and training sessions.
The role involves liaising with the head coach and sports trainers regarding injury management, rehabilitation program and game day physiotherapy coverage.
Position Requirements:
– Completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Masters of Physiotherapy
– Completed Level 2 First Aid
